Absecon Public School intends to introduce  STAR Science, an enrichment class tailored for K-4 students. Acknowledging time constraints in the elementary classroom, our aim is to offer hands-on exploration beyond regular classroom instruction. Led by a certified teacher, weekly 40-minute sessions will accommodate 22 classes, featuring instructional demos and experiments aligned with Next Generation Science Standards and the Absecon School Science curriculum. STAR Science seeks funding for materials, classroom experiments, and curriculum development. Motivated by low student proficiency in the state Science assessment for grades 5 and 8, we intervene early to address foundational gaps. Through engaging interventions, we prepare students for advanced studies in biology, chemistry, and physics, laying a solid scientific foundation.
